Planning – make sure that you plan how you are going to get to the interview and give yourself enough time to get there a little bit early. This way if you run into traffic or parking problems you will have some time available. You should also plan your outfit and have some questions that you would like to ask them about the job role and the company. This way you won’t be stuck on the spot if they ask you at the end of your interview.

Clothing – the clothes that you wear can have a huge impact on how confident you feel. If you are a woman it is worth thinking about whether you want to wear a dress or skirt and a formal top and if you are a man you could look at the Mens Farah Clothes that are available from places like https://www.louisboyd.co.uk/clothing/brand/farah.html that would be perfect for an interview. It is important to look professional but to also be comfortable to have a look around at the options that will best work for you.

Practice – it can sometimes be helpful to practice some interview questions before the big day. You could ask a friend or family member to read out some questions to you so you have an idea of the kinds of answers you might want to give to the people interviewing you. There are many websites that can help you look for interview questions that might come up.

Sleep – make sure you get enough sleep the day before your interview. It is surprising how good a great night’s sleep can make you feel. Set your alarm to give you enough time to get up and have something to eat before you get yourself prepared for the interview.

Research – it is important to do some research into the company that you are looking to work for. It is common for the interview to end with the opportunity for you to ask them some questions. It is a good idea to have some questions about the role or the business in general ready to ask, this can show the interviewers that you have taken the time out to find out more about the business.

There are lots of other ways you can get yourself prepared for an interview but these ones will get you started down the right track.
